Rubber Soul makes me happy
On vinyl.
I like to lay there on the couch and pretend I'm living back then and listening to it when it first came out and everything.
stupid? yeah.
but i mean. wouldnt it be awesome to be alive when this stuff was coming out.
if we had current music as good as the BEATLES!?!
hmmm. theres some good stuff out there right now, don't get me wrong. but, does it have the potential to be as classic as say, the Beatles or Led Zeppelin...?
i dunno. doubt it.
will my kids listen to...say... the Strokes or something current like that and be like "Wow Mom, this music is AMAZING!" Like the, "changes your life" kind of amazing?
I don't think so. Because the Beatles are definately the "change your life" kind of amazing.
Radiohead maybe... but thats been around.
Nirvana was like that for a lot of people I guess, but thats pretty much before my generation as far as current goes.
But oh, to be a kid during Beatlemania and the time after that when all that amazing stuff came out...
=priceless.
