My newly assigned research goal is something to the effect of "keep doing basic syntheses until we're confident that you can handle HF without killing yourself and/or losing extremities, then start your real project."

Readily absorbed through the skin - skin contact may be fatal. Acts as a systemic poison. Causes severe burns. Possible mutagen. Reaction may be delayed.
