Sad to say, we lost our kickball game last night, and so didn't play in the final. That was OK, I think, with many of the team members. The problem with playoffs is that they stretch the season into the hot, muggy months of summer, and that's mighty uncomfortable down here in Florida! We were all dripping by the time the game ended. On a personal note, however, I played better than I ever had, and made it to third base twice! No runs, but if the other team hadn't caught that last ball, I would have gotten one. I ran anyway, because that's what I'm supposed to do. But it was HOT!
Oh, well, we all decided it would be more fun to play in the fall, when the evenings are cooler. They aren't cold down here, but they are definitely cooler - and less humid. It's not the heat here that will get ya, it's the humidity!
