Reasons Why I Love This Part SFM:

1) the storyline. The painful reality of Kurt's situation and Finn telling him that it's not just an experiment and the whole thing being wonderfully believable rather than just rushed.

2) the humour:
“Oh my God,” Jeff said, grabbing David by the arm and pointing at Kurt. “Celine Dion!” - we need to see Kurt meeting Rachel's dads on the show at some stage, we really do.
"are there special bisexual hair requirements that I don’t know about?"- Oh, Finn, don't ever change.

3) their domesticity is beautiful: When he could breathe and move again, which took a while, he got up and did a little dance while he sang the parts of ‘Macho Man’ he could remember (he made up the rest), while Kurt laughed until he curled up in a ball and clutched his stomach, breathlessly begging him to have mercy. - this. Just this.

4) The quickie blowjob. In the bathroom. With the towel. Enough said.

5) Even just the little details are brilliant, like the college people's names. You've clearly put so much thought into this ( ... )

You've made me so very happy, I would sing that for you if this was karaoke--and I don't usually venture anywhere past my comfort zone of Chrissie Hynde, so there you have it. Thank you tremendously for your kindness and support and encouragement and for making my whole month!

You made Finn bi and actually attracted to other guys, not just Kurt! I think I may actually love you.

Brilliantly funny last line. Actually, there are loads of brilliantly funny lines. I've got eight saved now (including one entire paragraph), and I think that may be a record for any one author. Anything featuring drunk bi Finn is a recipe for pure comic gold.

And the whole bit about the slow blow jobs = win.

Also, I forgot to mention on the earlier part - when Finn realised what it must be like for Kurt to get the disgusted looks all the time the first time they were at the pool, and he gets really angry, that part was fantastically written. You can just feel his anger somehow through the words.

Although I personally am not a huge fan of the 'I'm only gay for you' dynamic in fic, I think this Finn might the first overtly avowedly bi character I've written, and I had a fantastic time doing it. I talk a lot in outreach efforts about the ways in which bi identity is distinctly different from queer identity, but I'd never gone into it in fiction, and it was *so much fun*--so I'm delighted that it worked for you!

So, so *so* glad you're still enjoying this--thank you so very much for your kind comments and support.

Just had to comment on this one--I've read all of the other chapters, too, though. This is awesome! For once I can see a totally plausible Finn/Kurt relationship. Also, if there were bisexual hair requirements, I would be screwed; I do absolutely nothing with my hair ;) This was epic and HOT. *0*

Thank you so much--I'm so glad this seemed plausible to you, because I worked really, really hard to make it so. Bisexual hair requirements: I really wish Kurt had told Finn there were some, because I think Finn might actually buy it, bless his heart :-)

Hotness: YAYS! I strive for that.

(snort) Yeah, Finn probably would buy that. Yes, I definitely loved this! ^0^

GAHHH THE LAST LINE.
So good it made caps lock phantom turn on.
I honestly love you, author I have never met before.
I mean, aside from the flow of this story being amazing and natural, and the characterization of everyone we come into contact with being wonderfully realistic--I also just really love that Finn's bi. Not gay, not straight, but bi. It seems like even people who support gay rights don't think much of bi people, and that gets me down sometimes. I'm bi and, well, everybody seems to think bisexuality is a joke. So Finn being bi, owning it and accepting it for what it is, makes me proud. Comfortable. Or, I dunno (sap alert), like it's ok to be bi.
So thanks. <3

It means a lot to me that you said that. For a long time, I tried to be one or the other, mainly because I got strong feedback from people around me that when someone said "bi" they meant "confused." And that felt wrong, and trying to fit into one category felt wrong, but just no one had ever told me I was right in thinking it was wrong. So thanks for being the first person who's ever really told me that. I identified a lot with Finn and his transformation throughout the fic. His assurance and confidence in who he is just blows me away.
Right. I didn't mean to make this response a me-fest, but "Your identity is not a joke" was exactly what I needed to hear, it seems.

Any time you wish to discuss queerness (or identity or rights or privilege or oppression or any of the whole tangled intersectional bundle of geewhizbang that is our postmodern LGBTQIA existence), please feel free to call upon me as either a listener or a (semi)-sane voice. I'll send you an LJ message with my e-mail address.

...about twenty years ago I made myself a t-shirt that said 'I Straddle The Fence To Get Off', in response to being repeatedly called a 'fence-straddler' by "real" lesbians. Amazing, how few people thought it was awesome :-)

And by this point, you're asking yourself, "doesn't this bitch have a JOB?" And the answer is yes, but it's my day off. And what better way to reward yourself for being a productive member of society the rest of the week than by reading smuttysexhotthott fanfic on your day off? Yayyyyy!

Even though I couldn't wait to get through them to find out if Kurt and Finn ended up together forever omg, I loved your scenes with Finn/Rachel/Burt/Kurt/Rachel's gay dads, and later, Finn coming out to Kurt as bisexual. The dramatic was just enough to keep me in knots.

The romantic in me just LOVED this: But then Kurt’s arms came up around his neck and even through his own haze Finn could hear fast faint muffled breath, suppressed but full of so much need--and just like that, everything rough and edgy and demanding in him changed.

Oh, Finn. *sniffs* You lurvesssss him!

It was so annoying that eventually Finn decided to slow it down enough to qualify as torture, using his hand and mouth one millimeter at a time out of pure, angry spite--only ( ... )
