(no subject)
Having our own place is quite possibly the greatest thing ever.
I love it so much.
We've still got a bit to unpack but the place is coming together nicely, if I do say so myself. We've got our furniture in place with the exception of a small sewing desk for me and a few chairs. Our living room looks straight out of the Ikea catalogue (don't worry! I'm fixing that) even though I've only set foot in that horrible, horrible place once ever.
I found a tutorial on how to paint faux bois. You know what that means? Everything is my house is going to end up being faux bois. EVERYTHING. Okay, maybe just the dresser.
So many DIY projects so little time. Magnetic spice holders to be glued. Pillows to be sewn. Drapes to be draped. And that faux bois won't paint itself!
I really want to have a house warming party soon but it looks like it won't happen until after I'm back from Texas.
Oh, yeah speaking of that looks like I'm traveling again, way to soon for my liking. LA was fun but it pretty much confirmed for me I can never live in a hot climate ever again because all I want to do all day is sleep and watch T.V. Yeah, the sun makes me want basic cable. This time I'm heading to Austin, which is roughly the same climate only hotter and with MORE channels (including HBO)! Weeeee!
