Own description of the shop: They sell very decent gothic clothing - I had some problems finding ANY goth shops at e-bay, I admit, so this one was a nice surprise. As for the punk/lolita clothing, I wouldn't recommed them - it's the same as Ling Lam etc. - Very short skirts, lots of probably crap-quality lace, 100% more cosplay than lolita.
1. Ordering
My order was this
fishtail long skirt. £17.90 the skirt, £16.40 the postage, totalling £34 (971 korun, 56 USD).
I wasn't sure about the measurements, so I mailed the shop owner a question - They have each size in two measuring variants (L - euro 42 and L- euro 44 etc.), so I was kinda confused. I though that it means the skirt can simply stretch from 42-44, but I wasn't 100% sure, so I wanted to check if I was really right.
I got a response in a few hours, so I was really pleased - it usually takes other wholesellers 2-3 days to reply. They also asked me about my measurements, saying they'll help me choose the right size, and after a short chat we decided on USA M.
Their english is quite okay.
(Btw. The skirt really does fit both euro sizes.)
On the next day I bought the skirt (they offer Buy Now option, thank god - I really hate auctions, I'm always lucky to catch an auction ending at 5 o' clock in the morning) and paid for it, and was really happy to get a mail saying they've shipped the item only two days after I've made the payment (I know, I know, somebody may say they'd want it shipped right the next day, but hey, compared to Ling, 2 days are really a bliss).
2. The skirt
The skirt was shipped on 7.9. - and arrived today, on 15. 9., so it only took 8 days from Hong Kong to the Czech republic. The item was sent in a bubble folder, marked as a gift, so no tax at the borders, hurray!
(I was pretty happy 'cause of the lovely postal marks with various birds, I've been collecting these since I was a little child, so.. yeah XD That was random, sorry.)
The skirt itself was wrapped in a plastic bag with Angel Secret's logo print (makes you feel like if you were ordering a real brand item... Calm down please, I'm joking, I'm joking.).
As for the skirt: The material on the web was described as "black wrinkle free poly cotton material". The material really is "wrinkle free", and is very nice to touch, it's lightweight and I was surprised by the fact that the fabric was also a little bit transparent! But it 100% opaque when worn, so no problem.
It's lower part is kinda "heavy" because of the frills (when walking, you always feel the weight of the fabric - Umm, I know it sounds pretty weird and stupid... I mean, ever had a skirt with a lightweight fabric? And experienced a feeling like if you were walking naked and had to check the skirt time to time, because you couldn't feel the fabric? Well, this is the opposite case).
The material itself reminds me pretty much of georgetta, and I'm not sure if it really is polycotton, but I wouldn't put my hand into fire for it.
New with tags, definitely. XD Mhmmm... ruffles.
The overall construction and design of the skirt is very good, and it fits perfectly, so the size they've recommended was really a great choice. The sewing work is not so bad, I'd say average - Overall nice, with some flaws like loose threads, and sometimes the ends of sewing lines are weirdly fastened, so I can totally see the point from which they are coming when stating that the skirt should be only handwashed. But it has no really visible flaws (I guess that nobody'd notice them until he/she really examines the skirt from a close view) and is not falling apart, so I guess it could be considered okay.
3. Photos
Sorry for the quality. The old cood Canon camera is not a friend with the dim light + black color anymore...
