Another year, another loss. Today my big sister passed and even though I knew it was going to happen, it was still unexpected and painful. Very painful.
I wasn't solely responsible for her care as I had been for my mother, my niece bore the brunt of that, I was there to watch as her body withered away until she was no longer recognizable as the vibrant, beautiful woman I once knew.
My heart aches for my niece who has lost both of her parents in three years time. She went from a little girl to a woman with the things that were thrust upon her at her father's death, so please, anyone reading this hold her up in your prayers tonight.
