so this is very much panning out to be a
SOMEWHAT OBNOXIOUS
not-so-christmas not-so-twelve-day fic exchaaaange

So! You've seen enough of these around already, I'm sure, to know where I'm going with this. Give me a prompt, and I'll give you 300 words in return! I've basically stolen this from a number of other people; is there an original source? It ( Read more... )

I will prompt you something if you like. But I can't think of anything right now. I will think of something tomorrow, if that is okay. Also, do you want it to be TM definitely?

Oh, and would you like fic in return? (I you do not, that is fine. Do not feel obligated to come up with something - I have a vauge feeling we have talked about this already...)

That would be awesome! I'd give you something back in return, sure, but I'm horrible at coming up with prompts. xD And yea, I have a feeling we've discussed this before...

And nope! I have no preference, so long as it's something I've seen. xD; (Well, feel free to prompt in a fandom I haven't been in, but expect total crack as a result if you do, haha.)

I'll come up with something if you like, but be aware that I tend to give really... strange prompts... xD

Oh, yea! If you give me a day now, I'll be sure to hold it for you! Though I'm sure there'll be lots of spaces left tomorrow, too...

Well, I was going to say that you didn't have to, but now I kind of want you to come up with a prompt for me, just to see what you come up with. If it's really insane, maybe don't pick the 7th for your day...

HAHA. Well. If you want, I can do.

And yea, I won't pick the seventh! I'm more humane than that, thanks. :P

Hee. Okay.

Alright, I'll pick... the 4th? Or is that too early? I really don't care which day...

:DD

Nah, the 4th is fine. In my perfect world, all of the prompts would be filled by the beginning of January, so there's not really any difference with the dates. Well, hypothetically.

(I may be way out to lunch with that assumption.)

Meh. I think the best thing is to start out optimistic with these things. Otherwise no one would ever do them. And I'm definitely enjoying mine. Even though thinking about it, I've written an insane amount of fic because of it.

But I've had fun, so totally worth it. And that's all that matters.

Oh, true, very true. If I started out with a pessimistic outlook, I doubt I'd ever actually finish anything I started. :P And I do enjoy being challenged! Definitely!

I've written a very small amount of fic in my brief foray into TM fandom. xD But I'm doing my best.

EXACTLY. <334

I meant more that the amount of fic I've written in general is insane, but yeah, most of it is Mentalist fic. Someone just gave me a prompt and I realized I'd effectively already written a fic about it.

No, no; in that respect, you're still way above me. :P Fandom aside, I'm still a... very inactive writer... though I do try for a little enthusiasm now and again.

xD Haha! Well, that's handy.

The holiday fic will now officially put me over 100, which is insanity.

Actually, I'm writing another one, so not so handy. Old fic don't count.

ETA: What say you to J/L: "Trying very hard not to save you" as a prompt? Y/N/Maybe?

That's amazing. :D I'll be lucky if I ever hit... ten.

Well, at least you might have some idea of where to take it.

I can do that if you want! :D I thought you were going to scare me with a prompt from another fandom, so that's a bit comforting. I'm fine with that, if it's what you want, too.

Yeah, Grace generally gives good prompts, so that's handy.

I briefly considered prompting you something else, but that seemed a bit mean, also, I was too lazy to think of something else. So I'm going with J/L for funtimes.

That is handy! I typically give absolutely horrible prompts. D: Not on purpose, of course.

lol. I thought about prompting you for S&A, since I haven't seen Castle or the other things I've seen you mention before. But I changed my mind because... well... tiny fandom is tiny. :D

J/L FOR FUNTIMES FTW.

I was half-afraidyou were going to prompt S&A. And the problem with that is, well, depending on how my brain reacted to the prompt it would either be *awesome* or GODAWFUL. I feel that's a fandom where there would be no middle ground.

So, given time constraints, possibly best to stick to J/L funtimes!

I feel the same way! And I suspect many would go the cliché route of just prompting a line from Shakespeare. xD But yes, I have a vision of the GODAWFUL prompts one could come up with for it, hahaha.

Mm, time constraints, indeed. Not that I've been at all helpful in that respect.
