We went this morning and picked up the necessary cable to get our sound system functioning properly with all our electronics, rather than just the blu-ray player/audio receiver. We also picked up a hefty surge protector -- mainly for the ability to move the plugs onto the shelf behind the TV (rather than having them inaccessible behind the entertainment center) but the surge protection capabilities and some of the other bells and whistles are nice, too. Andrew got all that set up today, so now we can listen to the music from our computers over the surround sound in the living room. Sweet! :)

Andrew also called the cable company, and "sometime in the next 10 days" they are gonna come out and unhook/rehook up and bury our cable line, so we won't have it running along the top of our fence any longer. That's an artifact of our house being the first one built on our street, and the outdoor cable box being in the neigbors' yard. Andrew also confirmed that we do need to exchange our existing indoor cable box for an HD-capable one, so that we can take advantage of our HDTV capabilities. I think he may be planning to go do that tomorrow, but not sure. At any rate, I think we're finally close to the point where we need to recruit a couple of friends to help push the entertainment center back against the wall! :)

I preregistered with the hospital today for Corwin's sibling's birth. They want that done before you enter the 3rd trimester (I guess in case of early labor), and I got that in just under the wire -- I'll hit 28 weeks next Thursday.

Also, I'm getting frustrated with doctor's offices that don't keep standard business hours. *sigh* I tried to call my OB/GYN this afternoon because I know I have an appointment next Thursday, but have managed to misplace the card with the time of said appointment. But the office closes at noon on Fridays, so there was no one there to help me. :( This on top of the dentist being closed all week when I tried to call them yesterday, and I'm feeling annoyance. :P
