Quick post to let off some steam before continuing with work. June holidays have started! ...and I have and will be going back to school everyday (save for Sundays) till late evening to work on coursework in the art room. I can't say I'm not enjoying myself there - it's tiring and I feel almost homesick, but the atmosphere is productive and well ( Read more... )

I like the Korean lyrics version better to listen to, but this video is AMAZING! Also, do you have any idea who that lady in the video is? I think she's Yoona from SNSD, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, the Korean lyrics are a lot smoother and it gives a really nice flow to the chorus. noona neomu yeppeo~
But after I looped the Japanese version unintentionally for a while, I realised the Japanese version is pretty catchy as well (but in a different way altogether)! I think it's really smart that they made the new MV because they entirely "revamped" the song instead of... did you see Bonamana's new Japanese MV? I still wasn't convinced by it because the MV wasn't very well made and I kept going back to the Korean version. D:

I LOVE YOONAAAAA /fangirls.

Oh, I didn't know there was a Bonamana version in Japanese! I'll check it out soon. Do you know Super Junior's song Marry Me? I like the Japanese version better for that one, lol.

I remember back when Genie by SNSD came out in Japanese too, a lot of people were disappointed. I did not like the song (it's very strange for the ear to get used to the change in lyrics, probably?) but that video was also very well done.

YOONA IS SO PRETTY!! * A * I don't know much about SNSD and their personalities, but I can tell that much hehe. She starred in the Korean Replay MV too, right, iirc? lasdkjfsf

Hehe they just released it just last week I think! Just listened to both versions for Marry U! Yeah I agree with you, the ballad style really suits the Japanese language. *_* I see a Chinese version too lolol wow so many versions oh SuJu I am amused. /goes to listen

Oh yes, I remember that as well. I wasn't into K-pop then but I heard a lot about it. I guess you're right - it takes a while for the ear to get accustomed and some fans might not take well to that. Oh yes I've watched that video, it was really great. I got hooked onto Genie and Gee too, for a while, during the releases, even before I got into K-pop. XD They're so catchy, even in Japanese.

Oh yes, did you hear the Japanese version of Hello yet? That I can't deny the fact that Japanese lyricist was a little hilarious. XD "Who knows? I know. You know."
