Sakura, sakura...
So things have been kind of crazy here since the beginning of April. My sister visited and we went to Osaka and Tokyo and she got to walk around in the rain at my town's castle which is the true Aizu experience. We saw the sakura in full bloom at Ueno Park, but they are nowhere near being out here yet. Even though the sakura festival is this weekend, hehe. It's not like it will be a new thing to have the festival with no sakura, but it was nice the first year when there were some.
I also have an interview in Sendai next week for the 4th year ALT position I applied for. It's supposed to be half in English, half in Japanese in front of two panels of Sendai BOE people. Should be interesting. If I blow the interview I'm going to have to start looking for backup plans.
This week's Tsubasa was so good! (Just had to say that for anyone who hasn't read it yet.) And I'm not sure if everyone has already seen THIS advertisement on TBS for Lord of the Rings, but I laughed for about five minutes after watching it. It's all Sam/Frodo and is set to the song 'Secret Lovers.' Of course it just had to end up on Fandom Wank.
