I got an A in math! That makes two algebra classes I didn't come close to passing in middle or high school, that I aced in college.
Now I just need to hear from my psychology and chemistry teachers. I saw a classmate at work today and she was upset enough about the last two math questions on the chem test to send an angry email to our instructor, about how we were an introductory chem class and weren't equipped with enough knowledge to comprehend those problems. I found the questions challenging, and I doubt if I came anywhere close to getting them right, but I don't think they were beyond our scope of learning. But maybe that's just because I've already taken an IB chemistry course, so everything's review to me. I mean, the Mole Concept is a part of introductory chemistry, right? You have to understand something that basic in order to move on. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me. My only problem was that she spent about three weeks on the basics of measurement, then tried to cram the Mole Concept (which anyone would agree is harder to understand than measurement), into the last few days of lecture before our final. The good news is, about three people total in the class fully understand anything she says, so all our tests are on a curve, and I'm sure the final will be.
