Colors!
Comment if you'd like a color. Then list ten things that you like/love which are that color.
belladonnastrap gave me yellow, and alicia_stardust gave me dark red.
1) Daffodils. There is a rogue daffodil in the corner of my front yard, where there has NEVER been a daffodil. There is just one, and it is a brave little thing, stubbornly and fiercely standing its ground. I hope some friends join it next year.
2) Citrine. It's such a happy, joyful stone. When I pick a piece of citrine up, I can feel energy zipping through my veins. I love it.
3) Yellow bell peppers. They're so sweet and crunchy and delicious.
4) The yellow moons and stars on my old dorm bed comforter, which is what makes up my current squirrel's nest.
5) Goldfinches! By winter they're an olive drab color, but in the warmer months, they turn the most beautiful radiant yellow color. I love seeing them at my thistle feeder. Sometimes there's a whole bunch of them, and they're bright and lively and you can't help but smile at them.
6) The brilliant yellow background of the ATC I'm painting to depict the "Kyrie eleison" from the "Missa Hodie Christus natus est" by Palestrina. It was inspired by the warm yellow-golden hues of the cover art of the CD where I first heard this piece, as well as by the piece itself. It's exquisite.
7) The warm buttery-yellow color of the walls in my living room. Yellow sometimes makes me anxious, but for some reason, it makes me ridiculously happy in decorating.
8) Tumeric! It's such a HAPPY spice.
9) MANGOS. Not only are they delicious--oh God, the amount of mango I could eat if given half a chance--but they're as happy-looking as they are amazing.
10) The golden tones of my cat Penny's fur. My dad calls her "that striped yaller cat" (striped is two syllables in this case). She is lovely and golden and loud.
1) Dark red nail polish. Shit yes. I am all about some red nail polish.
2) Dark red lip/cheek stain. I keep meaning to mention my newest cosmetic obsession--The Body Shop's Cheek/Lip Stain, which looks deep red in the tube and comes out this glowing pink color. It turns my lips anything from bitten-pink to a glowing raspberry, and it gives me the most BEAUTIFUL glowing in-from-the-cold pink cheeks.

4) The color of a glass of red wine with light filtering through it.
5) The red a Japanese maple tree's leaves turn in the fall.
6) Kate Winslet's evening gown in Titanic. Yes, dammit.
7) The red rose-shaped pillows on the loveseat in my sister's apartment. They look so nice against her ivory couches.
8) The color of cayenne pepper. Mmmmmm, so good with chocolate.
9) The color of embers from a dying fire on a cool night.
10) The rusty red streaks of color I "hear" in my mind when listening to Iron and Wine's lead singer.
