I am completely baffled. My Spanish professor just emailed me to give me my class and lab average, and apparently I missed the labs for chapter nine. I've never missed a lab in there. She always says, "Oh, bee tee dubs, you've got a lab due at midnight on such-and-such." I then go and do said labs, usually with some grumbling and swearing, because ( Read more... )

Well. I think it'll be okay. I do better in busier semesters. She acknowledged that it was insane, and she left the choice up to me. I'm more cracked in the head than she is. :D

Oh well! A&P was one of those classes I took before I got into nursing school and did it while holding down a full time job. OTOH I took Micro in the summer because then I jolly well had to get my ass to class. I had enrolled in the fall but started skipping like mad because the teacher was very dull and had a voice that put me to sleep. So I withdrew and took it as six weeks of summer torture and actually got a b- amazingly enough.

Then I started nursing school and learned what a full load really was!!

LOL!! Yup, two insane years of asking myself just how bad I want this! Two years of attempts to drive me insane and two years of 10-12 credit semesters that felt like 18. It's also 12 years in the past!!!

People ask me why I don't get my BSN. Two big reasons, One I have a BA in history, so a certain amount of a BSN would be redundant in the extreme and two, it won't result in any significant pay increase. I have zero interest in nursing management so zero interest in a BSN!

Yeah, that does sound like it'd be redundant. Do you enjoy what you do, well enough to make up for the hell that was nursing school? :P

Most of the time, it's a job. It has it's rewards and it's moments where I hate it. I have two "per diem" gigs right now, one is maternity, I did that as regular part time for 8 years. I'm also a substitute school nurse and every time I work I thank the Goddess I didn't actually get the full time job (I applied because my husband and in-laws pushed me)It's not for me ( ... )
