Papaw is doing better today. He's a little more lucid, he's not restrained anymore, and Daddy said he was breathing better and had eaten and was sleeping a lot. Daddy thinks he may pull out of it yet. I agree. Papaw's always been so stubborn and...not feisty, per se. That implies a certain hotheadedness. He's just...rock-solid and steady and won't ever give up. He's tough as nails. Breaking him is like trying to tear apart a pair of leather hiking boots. It's not IMPOSSIBLE, but it's damn hard to do.
*sighs and smiles a little*
I may be good to go on seeing all my darlings in A-town this weekend after all!
pam_casso and I have plans to go to the Brew & View and to the Chocolate Lounge Saturday night post-wedding. We plan to eat pizza and spend like twenty bucks on arcade games and claw machine critters and chocolate. Who's joining us?
I had a long, long talk with my algebra professor today. She is an amazing woman. Do you ever meet those women who just inspire you to be even more than you'd ever thought possible? She's one of those. She's given me a lot of food for thought. I'm realizing more and more that working with kids really means a lot to me.
In other news, I emailed Kim at Camp Horizons and Molly at Matoaka to let them know I was still waiting to hear from one last camp before I made my decision. Kim was basically like, "Oh, okay, sounds good." Molly was like, "Oh, okay! Thanks for letting me know", blah blah blah. Now Molly and I are conversing via email about camp desserts. Seriously, I really, really like her. She is beyond awesome.
...Buuut I would really like working in Washington state. Jesus. Why does this have to be so HARD?
