Summary: When Mana wished on a shooting star, she never thought a mischievous but kind sycamore fairy would grant her wish, transforming her 7-year old self into an 18-year old's body! Now she has to lead double lives: talented actress Shida Mirai by day, cute "imouto" Ashida Mana by night. Can she save her one true love from the clutches of an evil teen star while keeping her own secret under wraps?!
Prologue: The Sycamore Tree
On top of a small hill, two figures can be seen climbing the branches of an aging sycamore tree: a young man and a small girl. The man was a little bit ahead of the girl, acting as her guide as he motion for her to follow him step by step. No one would assume this was the first time he climbed the tree by his sure steps and strong grip. He carried himself further and further above like an agile cat. One can’t help but admire how his pale complexion seems to glimmer under the moon’s light.
Finally reaching their sitting spot, the man turned towards the girl and proceeded to lift her up next to him. She seemed gleeful at the beautiful view they have of the town where they lived in, admiring the way the stars shone above it like tiny lanterns. But her mood soon became melancholic when the man began telling her of tall buildings, bullet trains, stylish girls and a prestigious school. Tokyo.
The young man is currently in his 3rd year at Horikoshi Gakuen, a rather famous highschool for actors, singers and idols-stars like him. Even though he’s a well-known actor, he never forgot about his roots and always spent the summer with her at their rural hometown.
Next year, he’ll be spending the summer at his girlfriend’s villa.
“Agency’s orders”, he shrugged.
Still, the girl scowled at the news. If only she was a little bit older. If only she was a star. Then she could go with her ‘Nii-chan’ to Tokyo and be his girlfriend! Such were the simple thoughts of a 7 year old child. And as if some higher being heard her musings, a shooting star past by-
“Make a wish, Mana-chan!”
--before it quickly disappeared through the night sky.
“Onegai..” She whispered under her breath, hands intertwined tightly in a prayer. “Let me be with Ryu-nii!”
Unbeknownst to the little girl, a mysterious entity heard her heart’s desire and glowed in response.
“Your wish… I will grant it.”
