I noticed that the LJ emoticon "okay" has with it the smiley face akin to =/ - that somewhat, hum-drum, wishy washy, I'm not doing so well face.
I find it interesting that the origin of 'okay' stemming from 'ok' is the improper abbreviation of 'all correct' - mispelled by our late President Andrew Jackson.
Funny how in a couple hundred years the commonly known meaning, emotion, behind 'okay' is now a facial grimace and knee-jerk response. Soon it will have no more intrinsic meaning than "eh, I'm still alive."
