Man, I wish I could just blame one person. It's been this awful Lovecraftian descent into madness. I'd been following the fandom casually but not really watching except for, like, "Home" and the pilot, and I had this personal handwavey backstory where Mary, not John, was the Hunter, and then Night there told me about "In The Beginning" and it was the beginning of the end. I WAS ONLY IN IT FOR THE LULZ ORIGINALLY, WHAT HAPPENED. This is like how I initially liked JDM because of a running joke at a forum I hang out on, and then slowly I got Stockholmed into actually liking him, too.

Basically if you get me liking something for the lulz, apparently I will eventually start to genuinely like it. :(

RIIIIIIIGHT? :D: Any character with Oldest Sibling Responsibility Angst is going to hit me so hard, basically, plus most of the friends who've watched SPN and hung out with me seem to generally agree that Dean is what would happen if I were a dude, personality-wise. I'd like to blame the show, for instance, for the large amounts of cock rock in my collection, but I can't.

Goodness yes. I actually have an entry from about over year ago talking about an incident with my younger sister (who ran off to California for school as soon as she turned eighteen) that ends with the line "this is why it's a good thing I never got into SPN; a solid enough push towards involvement and I'd overidentify epically with Dean Winchester". Sure enough...
