Team Hugsalot is what I call the Cylon rebels, because they are adorable idiot bohemian children who want to be more in tune with God and who care about ~*~*~true love~*~*~. I mostly end up using the phrase in my reaction posts, which are largely under flock, so I guess I haven't actually explained that to the flist at large yet.
OIC! Okay, well, for the part that is relevant to this post, what happened is that the Cylons were a big evil army. But now they're splitting into factions, with one side being all mystical and interested in spirituality and also having the three Cylon models who have shown emotional attachment to humans: Six, who is in love with Gaius Baltar, Two, who is obsessed with Kara Thrace, and Eight, who is married to a human and has a half-human, half-Cylon baby (IDK how they can crossbreed, you have to handwave the biological thing, and also apparently they have to ~*~love each other~*~, so basically it's magic). These three are basically fourteen-year-old girls with super strength who can never die. It's hilarious.
He didn't actually rape her, although he held her captive in an apartment and emotionally tortured her by playing house with her for four months, and it's been made pretty obvious that he's completely in love with her. I should also note that his second appearance on the show was an episode that mostly consists of her (physically and, to a lesser extent, emotionally) torturing him, too, so they have a pretty mutually fucked-up thing going on, which makes it a lot less creepy to me than it would be if it were just him stalking her. It's stated at one point that he got involved in the Cylon war because he's looking for ~*~true love~*~. BASICALLY he's a Disney princess

Sadly, everyone seems to be pretty srs bzns in their fic. :( This is pretty funny, and for it you need to know that as part of his playing-house thing, Leoben brought in a little kid and told Starbuck she was their daughter, and that the Cylons had used her ova and his sperm to create her. It turned out she wasn't, actually, which really upset Starbuck because she ended up bonding with the kid and loving her and in the end she seemed way more angry at Leoben for lying to her about that than about the whole hostage thing. There's sadly very little Kara/Leoben fic period, and even less of it good, but I can go through my bookmarks for some, and I think there might be some recs in the meme delicious, too.
