I've bought a house
Yep, finally bought the 1908 3 bed, 1 bath place in Tacoma.
Signed all the loan papers today and hope the closing, really the recording of the sale to the county happens on Monday as planned and I'll get the keys next week. The move is set for 7/16. Reserved the truck already and have hired 2 men to help with the heaviest items and furniture down 4 floors here at the apartment. The house is single story so no issues there.
I just hope I can get bodies to assist in other areas by Wednesday. I took Wednesday and Thursday off to begin moving stuff to the house.
Today got all the heaviest items stacked near the door and the furniture will be a part of that for the hired help and all the stereo gear is undone and will go down with me to the house.
So that is the state of me at this time and I WAS sore, but having some time to recover, I'm fine now but bed is calling and I have lots more to do tomorrow and it's back to work for 2 days, 2 days off and work Friday and then move.
The commute will be longer, but for the short term, it'll suffice and I got a pay raise too, a 2.6% merit increase to $14.36/Hr. Not bad if I say so myself.
So life rolls on here and I've already ordered internet and will get the utilities etc on Monday when I call Tacoma Public Utilities.
I also need to figure out whom services the gas as I have a gas furnace so I can take ownership of that bill and will utilize that for a gas stove eventually.
