Still on the path to closing and moar packing

Still got the sniffles and the occasional coughing spasms but am decidely much better than earlier in the week.

As to the house front, got a Closing Disclosure on Tuesday with a closing date of 6/4, with disbursements being on 6/8, well, that's not quite true as we are still awaiting to hear back from the state housing commission people, and if my lender read the website correctly, we should have that approval by Tuesday of this coming week and then we can do the final steps.

In the meantime, I believe we had the HQS inspection which is the HUD/Tacoma down payment assistance inspection and apparently we're good there so next up is once we get the approval from the commission then the file goes to the underwriter for her review and then the docs ordered before I go in to sign them all. Once that is done, the file is sent to Bellevue for the funder to review and then let Escrow know to record and once they do that, the house it technically mine and we're shooting for next Friday the 10th so I can give notice here at the apartment as it's the final day to do so.

Now, I paid this month's rent at least partially already due to the move in special I had when I moved in here 13 years ago and that was when my rent was $675, so I may have to pay the whole thing and get reimbursed.

Meanwhile I'm slowly packing up the place but will be ramping that up as I go through this coming week, especially if we get the approval on Tuesday and prepare for the final steps to closing.

Meanwhile, it's been hot here, in the low 80's I think, and tomorrow will be even hotter, though area rivers and lakes are still plenty cold so drownings tend to be at their worst this time of the year when we get these early heatwaves.

So life continues on around these parts. Next a quick trip to the store for dinner and a carton of milk and it'll be nice to get out for a brief spell before resuming with packing.
