The day did get better
Yep and I think part of my anstiness is due to hating my job and some of the people I work with in terms of co-workers.
But the day did get better and tried to get in touch with my buddy, but a signal processor to work for tech rehearsal so we may still try to chat around 6:30 tonight, or tomorrow around this time.
Dinner last night was cooked spinach on toast with spicy mustard and a fried egg on top. I simply cooked two and then using a spreader, carefully cut them into two fried eggs so one can go on one half of the baguette (bottom side) and the other on the other half (top side) that I split down the middle length wise. I've made variations of this dish before and it's always good, and quite simple to do. Tonight is pasta toasted a little and cooked in chicken stock with a splash of cream and sauteed mushroom slices with a pinch of salt and a good crackling of pepper and I'll roast a Brocolli crown in a hot oven and call it dinner.
Nice to have the bedroom picked up but still have to tackle the desk area, but progress is progress at this point.
The kitchen still needs work, and I'll tackle that too this evening and I know part of my frustrations is wanting to get that summing box project finished up as I'm making one to properly play monophonic LP's and 45's on my stereo and get the mess cleared up so my dining table is reclaimed of the bits of wire etc that litter it and put things away.
However, I've begun the process of ordering the parts needed to upgrade my phono stage by ordering the enclosure from China via eBay Sunday morning late and so far, the order has been confirmed and should shiip within 2 business days. So that meant I ordered it around 11:05AM here, which was I think 3AM Monday in Shanghai where it'll originate from. So it may get out today, or tomorrow. Now, I don't know if the package will come directly from China to Washington State, or enter through the East Coast of the US and then travel across the country. Usually if there is no issue with the decleration at port of entry it just gets sent on its way with little to no delay with no extra fees or anything, which is usually the case for items that are less than I think $200 and aren't restricted etc. Once my tax refund drops, I'll order the phono stage, the power supply unit and the back panel kits from Sweden, and again, he knows how to deal with the declerations so it'll arrive without muss or fuss or fees on my end. I think usually in this case, it takes probably 2 weeks or less to arrive. Not having bought oversees before like this so this is a new experience for me, but being that it's eBay and Pay Pal, I do have recourse if there is an issue as I can get my money back if need be so there is that, and I used my credit card for added protections it provides, which is one of the main reasons you should have one, for purchases like this for recourse should there be issues as your debit card pulls straight from your checking account and it's much harder to get reimbursed should it be compromised.
So that is how things look as of 6:04pm and if my buddy can't chat tonight, I may make a quick run to the store for toilet paper. I have ONE roll and that's it. I forgot that I was low so didn't buy any at the store on my way home from work today. Oh well.
