No pride parade for me this year

Got much to do and stil need to shower and it's 10:10AM.

It's hotter than bloody blue blazes inside my apartment, but outside, it's cool, pleasant with a breeze blowing, and clouding up. We are still looking at the mid 80's, though it's now dropped from 88 to 86F and it's 77F currently.

As I type this, I've had breakfast, done the laundry and took out recyclables and an old Rubbermaid tub and a few other items to the trash dumpster. The old Rubbermaid tub had been outside on my balcony getting blasted by the western sun since the summer of '04 and it's all crazed and split now. Bought a fresh new tub last weekend and had it sitting, along with the old tomato cage that I can replace when or if I decide to grow tomatoes later in the new place.

As I type this, despite the temps, the wind is from the south it appears and it's nice and cool, a nice reprieve from the stiffling heat in my apartment. We never did cool off much overnight. It was 82F at midnight or there abouts and I think it remained above 80 until a bit later before dropping off. When I got up this morning, if memory serves, we were already at 71F at just before 6am. Today we are looking at periods of thunderstorms through the middle of the day (11-2pm or so) with the high around 86 and the heat won't let up all week, if forecasts prove right, with next weekend, Seattle and surrounding areas back into the 90's. We'll be in the mid to upper 80's in Seattle at least through Thursday before climbing up again.

And summer has ONLY just begun...

pride, weather
