Feeling a little off today
And thus not as much energy, though I wonder if it's passing now? Hmmm...
Anyway I have Aug 12th and 13th off to attend my niece Meg's big gay wedding down in Olympia, Yay! I came home and RSVP'd so that's good.
Also, will hear tomorrow on the new loan deal through the housing finance commission, it's a short term program that is offered for a short time that offers a lower interest rate than the usual with the Home Advantage loan, which is 4.125% the last I heard, of which I doubt it'd changed any since. Anyway, my mortgage lender thought this new program could be as low as the high 2's so we'll see where that leaves me budget wise. I still have to repay $270 to my minimum contribution and then find a house while the funds are there at the lower interest rate and I'll be set.
I was able to muster up the energy to wash most of the dishes, leaving mostly glassware and the cooling racks, getting the rest of the kitchen cleaned up and back to a useable state again. My dinner tonight was leftovers of last night's meal, all good if you ask me and all I needed at the store was a bottle of wine. Essentially, it consisted of cooked pasta, some bacon cut into bits and cooked up, adding canned tomatoes and spinach, a spot of chicken stock and in the end, a splash of cream and Parmesan cheese along with Thyme, Rosemary, and I think Oregano, salt/pepper and garlic, just because and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice to round out the flavors. Again, delish.
I still need to see if the bed at my buddy's house is available August 12th so I don't have to try and drive all the way back to Seattle and then try to find parking on the street after 9pm and I hate driving when tired anyway.
I guess just getting some dishes done helps with my overall mood as this crap has been sitting, well, some of it since Sunday once the cookies were baked off in the sink with water, and the rest piled up on the counter.
While it's not perfect, it's tidier and I can work in there if I had to right now and that's the main thing.
So that's that and we are expected to hit around 90F come this Saturday and drop back a couple of degrees next Monday before hitting 90 again, so HOT for this area, and it's early for us too. I think this month has had little to NO rain so far, again, not a common sight around these parts as summer usually does not hit until July 4th, if not the 5th. Needless to say, if this keeps up, this could be an interesting summer weatherwise.
