A shopping excursion thwarted

I went to the QFC that has an electronics department as it has some things from a Fred Meyer to get a "Duo Port" drive from I think PNY. It's essentially an On the Go USB thumb drive at 16GB for $20. Gone, someone bought it so will have to head to Office Depot or somewhere else, such as Fry's as I know they have them there.

Meanwhile, I am playing a music file that's on the MicroSD card on my phone via an iFrogz USB speaker at the moment. That little speaker does put out the sound, though it's not terribly loud, but loud enough with the volume of the phone at full blast though. is it clean, not as much since it's on the verge of distortion. Hey, the speaker WAS free through work so I can't complain. I even have the recharge cable for it, and it allows me charge it up through my computer via the USB port. There is a 3.5mm jack for wired connection, but the output of the headphone jack is less than through Bluetooth so I use that instead. The speaker in question is the Pop.

So much for that idea though they did have cables that may be On the Go cables, but no price and no real way to know, but has the MicroB and regular USB connectors, one at each end so I gave up and got my pizza for my dinner.

So will have to try tomorrow and go from there.

It'd be fun to know if my tagged USB files will be read properly as is through the play music app that came with the phone.
