A nice time at IKEA

Yes, got to see some new items, though the new Sektion kitchen cabinets won't be available until Feb 1 however, so all kitchen displays except for a couple in the kitchen area were closed off with curtains and I can hear cordless screw drivers and such at work as employees take down old kitchens in preperations for putting up new ones.

Didn't buy anything but their meatball lunch, however it's gone up though, now almost $10! Even with the IKEA family thing, it's still just shy of $8. Most everything else is reasonably inexpensive however, thankfully.

Spent all afternoon just wondering around. I had hoped to find an inexpensive, and pretty bowl to use for food scraps, but didn't find what I was after as the cheap assed plastic batter bowl is cracked now and needs replacement. I then came on home through the Rainier Valley and Rainier Avenue back onto the hill, stopping at the Harvard QFC for bacon and 2 donuts for breakfast for tomorrow. I'd spend the day working on stuff here but need to be at the Seattle Art Museum by 1pm to see Pop! Departures that I've wanted to see.

So that is what today has been, a good day overall. Came home around 5pm and no parking spots, though someone beat me to a space that opened up, but I did squeeze into a spot but will have to move it in the morning first thing as it's not exactly legal. Too close to the stop sign, that is unless the parking enforcement officers and/or cops are out in force this evening as people gather down on Melrose to see teh T-Mobile sponsored fireworks at the Needle. I may, or may not be up for it, we'll see. This will be my last year, I hope of experiencing this, and there are parts of it I will miss, but the parking, or lack there of on the street, not so much.

Anyway I need to think about dinner and making a post looking back at the past year and a bit of a look ahead to 2015 before bed calls later.
