Yep,
got to get my emissions tested this year and then go get my tabs renewed. A "Whopping" $75.75 total, which is MUCH less than last year whereby it was, I think just over $100.
So a trip north to 120th and Aurora Ave N to get the emissions and then hop on over to Ballard to get my tabs. Then it is head south to the SODO district to PFI, and the bread store and then over to Pacific Galleries as they had last week, a clip on blown glass bird, with an Ostritch feather for the tail, rather than the usual white fiber strands used on most of the birds, if it's still there that is.
From there, come home and tomorrow, I'll make an early morning run to Costco for the stuff for the casserole I'm taking to my youngest sister's for Thanksgiving, and try to do so while the crowds aren't bad. My goal is to buy large tubs of baby spinach to saute, rather than buy frozen blocks of spinach for the dish. If they have it, I'll probably get the canned artichokes there too, otherwise, it's to the grocery store for that. I can also get the cream cheese and maybe a bag of lemons (since I use them a lot).
Still don't have an update on my budget, so am assuming $180K for homes, $155K for condos with no more than $200 for the HOA, and so far, nothing found to even look at, but then again, I've not been looking either. :-(
Once back home it's get the place picked up, the kitchen cleared away so I can cook in it later and get the tub of lights out and put a strand out on my balcony for hopefully the last time. I may put out a couple of other Christmasy items out, just to put a hint of the holidays in my half packed place.
The good thing about the coming week is it's a short week for us since the site is closed not just on Thanksgiving, but on Friday too, so I'll have a FOUR day weekend coming up, and I'll do sme cookie baking that weekend since in a couple of weeks, I meet with siblings in Enuclaw to my oldest sister's place to pack cookies for a food bank to be given out for the holidays, a new variation on an old tradition we began the year Mom died. We've always have done cookie baking, but the cookies were distributed around and we had stuff to eat for the holidays, now, we bake, and donate instead.
So, with that, time I get showered andn out the door as the licensing place closes at 2pm.
