A productive day with a date thrown in for good measure

Today was one of my more creative, and productive days. I got the laundry done early this morning as I had a date with a fella. He's Greg and lives up in Greenwood, I think just north of 85th. He works in the theater, at least part time and we decided to meet up at Neptune Coffee that is just south of N 85th. That area is lovely and is north of downtown Seattle, but still well within the city limits. 85th is a business district for Greenwood, and contains a very nice Fred Meyer just west of where we were. We could only chat for about 30 minutes because he had to get something to eat and be at the theater at Magnusen Park by noon. He did something he almost never does, and that is sleep in until 10:30am. He'd been at the theater last night (Saturday) until 1AM or so.

The show opens today I think so he had to be there early I guess to get things setup for the opening show.

We had a lovely chat and he seems very likeable and easy going. Both have lost parents, though he still has his mother and his grandmother whom I think is around 100 years old. Greg is I think 47, or 48, so close to my age.I think this time NEXT year he'll be 49.

That area has a lot of charm and if I can find a nice home I like up that way, I would not mind living up that way to be honest. This morning it had been raining, and it was quite chilly too. The low was 43F overnight, so chilly this morning as well and the dampness didn't help matters.

Once done, I hit the Fred Meyer and bought some round cotten swabs used to remove makeup and some nitril disposable gloves for working with the denatured alcohol and cleaning audio tape. From there, came on home, it was 1:30 when I got home, had lunch and then did some writing and later worked on a CD project, processnig the rest of the files and such before heading to the store for a few things. This evening was spent eating, cooking, watching the latest episode of This Old House and burned the CD, but not after 2 duds with mistakes on them.

The CD in questioin is A Rock and Roll Christmas that I rebuilt, from scratch The new order came about last year when I ripped the old CD and rearranged the order of the tracks as I had created the CD with 4 tracks of Brenda Lee, 2 tracks of the Royal Guardsmen all together, which left a lot to be desired. Kept all the tracks, outside of Bing Crosby since I decided he just didn't fit in with the rest of the tracks, adding Step into Christmas by Elton John, and Sleigh Ride by the Ronnettes, which I had downloaded via Amazon last year when I redid the playlist order for the USB drive.

So that was my day, and I love days like this whereby I can be productive with a project, or two.

Next up is some washing of dishes, putting away of food and then calling it a night as tomorrow is another work day.
