Progress, of sorts
When I wrote my last post yesterday, it was just after 5pm, and off to the store I went, stopping by Office Max whom had a 3 roll pack of the GOOD packing tape, this is not for shipping, but for packing/moving/storage, that aren't the smaller rolls, but the normal sized roll that fit tape guns, that did NOT cost a huge amount. The QFC carries the post office branded tape, 3 rolls of the same size is closer to $18, this stuff I bought? $11, score! Even had the cutest younger fella with blond/light hair/light beard assist me, pleasant, with a bit of a flair so wonder if he isn't "family", with the store being in the "hood", it's possible. It's a new store too, and is what they call a business Office Max, though anyone can buy within.
Then it was off to the grocery store for sponges, toilet paper, and snack sized baggies for small items for packing to keep such items corralled during the move.
And heard back from one of the two realtors I've been in contact with. He's got a search for all of King County, though with the program I'm on, I can't go outside the city itself, so it'll be a challenge to find something since my budget, for both home, and condo are not quite scraping the bottom of the affordability spectrum for the city itself. The 3 properties I spotted were all foreclosures or the like. Those are not wise to pursue as one, I may not be able to finance, two, may take months to sell due to the banks dickering around, and three, they often go for MUCH more than what the asking price is being listed as. So next week, we'll meet up at the Green Lake Starbucks at some point this week, hopefully early in the week. I replied back last evening around 9:30 for I didn't see the email drop in immediately, although he didn't get back to me on the results until after 8pm to begin with.
So, got my work cut out for me, and it may take a while, but hope not though. It's because house prices are going up, as the supply of available houses dwindles as people snap them up.
So that's what's happening there, and more will be forthcoming as I know more.
So today, it's finish with the odds and ends of the bedroom, tackle the CD's (file/sort) and maybe do a bit of cleaning in the kitchen, other than wash dishes, like pull out the stove to clean behind/under it. I just realized I don't have any gloves so will have to get those, and hope not to have to get more quarters. I get paid next weekend so that's a good thing.
BTW, I think I may have fixed the wireless nic and Opera last night as I finally got Opera (the free browser) to see it, and was able to stream Ask This Old House OK, though it's high def, so the computer's video began to lag, but it WILL stream it. I watched several episodes of that before calling it a night.
An interesting dream involving some co-workers, a dark room that we all worked in and a couple of lamps to see by, one coworker's fancy 2 door vehicle whereby he locked himself out, and I was able to fixed that, my car, some older Toyota? It even was a manual, and that was largely it.
Was up and at it by 6:15AM, and waking up to some kawfee. Next up, the laundry and breakfast.
