Slow, but steady progress

Aug 31, 2013 15:23

That is after a good bit of dinking around earlier this morning.

I now have my work ethic finalized.

I believe in proper and just income compensation as well as allowing a sense of autonomous ownership for all employees as it fosters pride and a willingness to grow and do their best in whatever the job entails.

I also believe in providing all avenues/tools to allow said employees to grow and learn new skills/positions to keep employees fresh and eager, reducing burnout and potential turnover.

My goal is to work hard, do my job, which comes with taking on orders, duties without incident and being pleasant to others and share in the responsibilities as I dislike it when people slack off, forcing others to take up the slack, just to avoid the task at hand.

I say this last sentence because that is what I often see at my current place of employment by some of my coworkers, and I dislike that when we are ALL in the same boat together, making a pittance of an hourly wage - and guess who often ends up taking up the slack? If you guessed yours truly, then consider yourself correct.

I now have InDesign open as I need to find the letterhead project and make sure I still have a full page version of it as I will be integrating it into my portfolio, but saving it and dropping it into Word to add to my work ethic page, and others, such as my opening statement and my resume being two along with other pages that'll get it. This way, all pages will be cohesive in nature.

And in other news, it's lovely out there, and does not feel muggy at all for a change, 46% humidity and 77F currently, the high had been forecast to be 79F, but will we make it? I dunno, though the next 6 hours the Weather Channel says temps holding steady, or falling to 71, the low will drop to 61F, but with higher humidity overnight (70%). Tomorrow is similar to today, though cloudy starting off and revealing generally clear and sunny skies by afternoon.

So back to the grindstone.
