That is, she cashed in a treasury bond last fall to help me out with moving expenses. Reason was, I had just gotten notice in late August that my rent would be going up in Nov, and now over any paychecks, so that was why I was trying to find a place, and move, but her illness/surgery put the kibosh on that.
So now I'm trying to figure it all out as the broker who cashed in the bond sent out several page document with 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, and a sumery of the 1099-OID, and something about a 1099-B, but the only one that seems to be of interest is the 1099--INT as it shows interest on US Savings bonds, and treasury obligations, and on the back of the first page, indicated that the whole total was uncovered total, which I've read to mean it was not reported. So I did the tax form for the interest, and hope that the proper schedules/forms were generated. I've finally given up, for now and will get outside as it's nice out there and go hit the Prevail branch to see if they can cash this check from King County Courts so I have that money on hand as I get through this next week as next Friday is payday. Prevail and Harborstone are merging to become Harborstone so they may well be able to cash this check for me.
I'm just not feeling it today, tired and already had a nap and have a mild headache, it's in the background, barely but it's there. And all this trying to figure out Mom's taxes is making my brain hurt. I'm doing it online, but need to ensure I'm reporting it right.
Right now, it's partly cloudy and 51F, tomorrow, full on sun and in the upper 50's, to near 60. We'll only hit 54F today though.
Don't recall what I dreamed last night, but Wednesday night I had a dream that involved being in a very wooded neighborhood in Snohomish County (I think the Everett area) The neighborhood was older, around the turn of the last century like the area was sparsely populated as would have been the case in many areas around 1900 still. The dream ends with me being across the way from a grocery store, it was raining, or rather, heavy misty rain and where I was in the neighborhood, I could look out over hills, dales, and valleys, and mountains in the distance. This part I think I dreamed about 3 or 4 years back, though not exactly as I had Wednesday, but the overall location/scene though.
In any event, it's been one of those days so now I think I'll take my meds, some Ibuprophen and go cash that check.
