A very good Thursday

I think that Dulcolax, or it's Kroger brand version anyway did it's job as it took effect at 5:50am this morning, allowing me to feel good today. This morning I did a cursory look for an old pinball game that Microsoft used to sell called Pinball Arcade. Found it on Amazon as I knew I would. They had copies used for as little as $9, sans instructions but no mention if it had a jewel case and one at just over $20 w/ case and instructions, in like new condition, that's the one I bought. Yes, I ordered it. It's shipping ground, USPS so it arrives within 14 days upon being shipped, often less than that. This game is one Microsoft developed in conjunction with Gottlieb, a manufacturer of pinball games up until it's demise in the early 1990's. The 7 games are based exactly on real games, such as Baffle Ball from 1931, repleat with reflections, sounds etc that you would hear when playing said game. There is one game from each decade. Humpty Dumpty from the 1940's, Knockout from 1950, Slick Chick from 1963, Spirit of 76, 1976, haunted house, 1982 and a game from the early 1990's. It's as much educational as it is fun to play. I first became aware of this game when staying with a friend and his then partner, now ex in LA in 2002. It was on an old HD that I installed into his then fairly new E-Machines box and it was on there. Sadly MS has discontinued the game but it can be found used however, which is how I got it.

Then UPS tried to deliver my memory stick today at 4pm or so, so after checking with the UPS tracking online and noted the first attempt, called the customer service # and had them redirect it to the local center for pickup. I didn't get a chance to say, hold it and I'll get it tomorrow as my phone was breaking up. Hopefully it'll still be there tomorrow and I can just get it right after work. Otherwise I'd have to go back down there at 6:45pm and after that time, parking around here gets difficult at best. I just called UPS and they will hold it for up to 5 business days so that's not a problem and I'll grab it tomorrow on my way home from work.

Outside of that, it's been a busy day at work as far as extra stuff going on within T-Moble but it didn't effect us too much thank goodness. It's been absolutely beautiful outside and it's now 62 Degrees and still bright and sunny.

Not sure how the evening is going to proceed. I need to see if I have any veggies, I know I have salad stuff but not sure if I even have canned green beans on hand though. I just remembered I do have a small bit of a head of broccolli left so will get that all ready and steam them along with a salad and other goodies. I have some kind of meat thawing enough on the counter to seperate and I'm not too sure what it is. Pork? the ziplock bag was not labeled in any form and right now it's kinda hard to tell while frozen.

Anyway, the day ended fine with me finding a spot for Boris, legal and all in front of my building, just around the corner on the side street and just a few steps from the entrances too. :-)

Woot!

Now I say, it's dinner time!

EDIT: Turns out the meat were 2 pork chops! :-)
