(no subject)
The original reason I dropped back into Livejournal was to look up about five or six old friends I hadn't heard of for ages. I found one or two as they'd posted fairly recently, but the others seem to all have wandered off to elsewhere (online and generally). I hope that, wherever they are now, things are going well for them all :-)
I might drop into afp for the same reason. The last time I went there was just after Terry Pratchett had died and understandably the place had exploded somewhat, as had #afp. But previous visits had been like been in a former favourite pub after all the regulars had moved on elsewhere and there were just a few stalwarts left (and in this case 'stalwarts' may mean 'people I don't know'). I'm guessing the rest of Usenet is the same
