WoW has an affect on my life

This post is going to be all about WoW, but not playing, how it has affected my life. When I first started playing WoW Brandon got me into his guild. The guild added a whole new dimension of fun to the game because I was able to chat and joke with people about things inside and outside of the game. Some of these people I would end up considering to be in game friends. One of the people, Bloodgorge, while him, Shadostar, and I were the last three players still playing one night got me to to download a program called Vent which let you talk to your guildies via microphone so I didn't have to type anymore. Nights where, Blood, Shado, and I were the last ones one were common, and most of the time we weren't the only ones; we also had Tyrdyth, Lokansta, Fatherbob, and a few others. Blood ended up getting into a fight with the hierarchy of the guild so all of the members of the night crew left and formed our own guild. We recruited more people who joined the new vent server, Treadwell, Skygi, Grimmdeath, and eventually Brandon. I went on a two month hiatus because of finances and when I came back the guild was disbanded and everyone went their own ways, except a very select few who started a new guild. I joined this guild but after awhile I felt the need to move on, as eventually the people I knew where no longer in it. The reason I mention this is because I was on WoW tonight and really started missing the days of WoW when I would spend more time laughing at a dumb joke I heard over Vent than leveling my character. The one thing I really miss about those people and those guilds was, despite never meeting anyone, they were able to make me feel like I was hanging out with a bunch of friends when I was really sitting alone in my room playing a video game. Anyone that knows me should realize I hate not being alone, I like having someone around me and those people and guilds were good at making it seem that way.

This has got to be the geekiest LJ post ever.
