Back on campus after a couple of nice days at home. I'm really not torn apart about leaving, and I really wasn't torn about going. I love home, but I love college too. I don't know, just floating along. And ignoring homework. >.>
On another note, my mother bought a package with the first and second season of Bones, and I noticed something kind of suspicious about the back cover of the first season (and those following me on tumblr may have already seen this, so for that, apologies)--take a good look at the way Booth and Brennan are posed:
Now take a good look at a rather famous promo shot for Star Trek with everyone's favorite Space Husbands Kirk and Spock:
Hng. This is my favorite picture of them. I'm about to put it up on my dorm wall. They are so gorgeous. Is this shopped? How is this not shopped?
...Does that look a bit suspicious to anyone, how similar their poses are? Well, aside from the Bones group looking kind of grouchy, and the role inversion, but really. But, y'know, since it's kind of obvious that B/B are probably going to end up together...wellll.....
But that's just the thing. K/S are the archetypal couple--the yin and yang of one another, the logic and the intuition. The perfect foils make the perfect couples because they literally complete each other. Booth and Brennan are no different in their interactions and the risks they'll take for each other. And, I mean, it's old news, but it never stops amazing me how many of today's developing attraction couples are marketed like that, and how many parallels I can draw.
tl;dr It's canon, bitches.
