This is what I believe:
Life is an arena in which the soul learns a life-lesson. The lesson tends to be something you despise having to do, something you will do anything to avoid. If you learn your lesson within the span of your life you move on to the next lesson in the next life. Once you've learned all your lessons you become one with the Universe. You return to reality, the plane from which the soul comes. That is the meaning of Life, to learn.
However, that is not to say that other faiths and other religions are wrong. By no means. They're just different, and different is good. Humanity depends on people's ability to say, "What you think, are, and feel are different from what I think, am and feel. And that's okay." Acceptance is not an easy life-lesson to learn and I'm happy to say that in this life it isn't mine. Though mine is just as hard and no fun at all.
