So, I occasionally post political comments/articles on facebook or twitter. I try not to make it too frequent but with the current environment I just can't help it. I really can't understand why anyone who isn't exceedingly rich, racists or vehemently religious would vote for Mitt Romney. The fact that a party has swung so far in one direction that they are back to trying to ban abortions (and also reduce availability of birth control leaving women with little choice), say who can marry who (you know, at one time interracial marriages were outlawed) and claim that global warming doesn't exist (one of the most proven theories based on research) is just pathetic. There was one republican in the very early primaries who I somewhat respected... Huntsman because he actually.... gasp... said global warming was real... was buried by those candidates spewing vitriol. The fact that there is even a chance Romney could win makes me want to cry. I'm not saying Obama's perfect... no one could be in that position. I just say I'd much rather have someone in our highest office who used words such as "business woman" in his speech and passed a health care act that makes birth control easier to obtain. I'd rather have someone who attempts to work with the other party (who stated their goal was to make him fail and hence do damage to the country they claim to love). I'd rather have someone who supports programs in renewable energy.

I'm rambling. I just had to vent a little and now you'll know why if I make a random comment.... oh, and if Romney wins I may be looking for a new country to call home, lol.
