Part two
I am not writing this just to rant about the neighbor, or anyone else, I am just processing, feel free to ignore me.
We finally make out of the hospital, it's been snowing steadily. We get to my house and I start cooking while L tells her kids.
Jackie is not dealing well either, he was like a second father to her.
Hubby goes out to try to get her some stuff but the roads are bad so he manages to only get to Wal-mart. He remembers she wanted to try the Bunny Tracks no sugar added ice cream so he buys some for her and is anxious cause he couldn't buy the rest of what she wanted. Her friends come over and hubby does rather well with his house being invaded. I am proud of him for that.
The next day we go over to the house to clean and I make L a protein drink and we talk and we cry and try to process. She gets a phone call from Jackson Hewitt telling her they have the check ready. We take her to get that and to get groceries. It's hard for her but she feels this is what she needs and I am there for her every step of the way.
When we get back to the house we find a list of things he had planned on doing, like giving L a real wedding, doing some special vacations, buying a camper trailer.
I am sorry, I will need to post more later when I feel up to it, this is bringing up a lot of stuff for me
