February 19, 2009 - In the Present Tour Cancelled

The “In The Present Tour,” featuring Yes’ Steve Howe, Chris Squire, and Alan White, is canceling the remaining scheduled shows.
Chris underwent surgery on his leg on February 11, 2009. The operation was successful and Chris is on his way to a full recovery. However, Chris has been advised by his physician that he needs a one month rest period, hence the reason for the cancellation of the rest of the tour dates.

As previously stated, Chris and the rest of the band wishes to apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused to their fans and hopes to see them again soon.

The funny thing about all this, is that they decided to tour without Jon Anderson because he was advised to rest after an acute respiratory attack, and he caused a bit of drama over it when he found out about their decision. You know what guys....please think about health first, for everyone. I know there are all unforeseeable, unfortunate incidents but tend to agree with Jon when he said that when Yes tours it should be something special and they should learn from their mistakes and not compromise their health...that was back in 2005. Chris is getting too old to still be living life like a like a rock star.
...I almost bought tickets to one of the shows in SoCal...one which was tonight and the other next Saturday.

And speaking of rock musicians who are getting older (but not as old as Yes), Behold h and his furious dismantling of roses on Valentine's day.
