My dad's been in a deep alcoholic depression for several months. He's not taking care of himself, or his house, or anything for that matter. He got a DUI and had his license suspended and he's still trying to drive around...well, at least until I had to pick him up in Yorba Linda the other day and he didn't even know what he was doing out there. *hugs* As long as you act out of what you feel is in his best interests, you can't do any wrong. And at least he might be alive long enough for you to make it up to him. ;D

There's just...only so much I can do. At some people you have to want to help yourself or else even if he was put into a program for a month, he could get out and just go right back to square one. :( The thing that makes it all so hard is that he's really broke, in debt, in danger of losing his house and he has nowhere to go since he's done a good job of sabotaging a lot of his relationships.

On a lighter note, the Kikaider doujin came in the mail today!
There's a very long story that's all Jiro basically talking to Rei who appears unconscious in the statis chamber and then he wakes up and busts out, and they talk a bit and then they're happy and it ends but I can't understand a single thing that they're talking about. :P

But the best part is there's a humorous shorter story that also has Ichiro that comes after it. It's got a nice little...homage to the arm fixing scene, lol

Yeah...I know. My dad's a hobo--I can only wait for him to hit rock bottom and want to get help. =\

If you can scan the doujin, there's always a chance someone out there will be able to translate it. Or you can always hit up a fansub group to take it up as a project whenever they have the time.

And yes, I have seen most of these little doujin strips, but it was a long time ago. XD And the files I had saved were way too small to make much sense of them. X_X
