three flights of stairs and five pounds later....
Ok so my first week in Savannah has been crazy/beautiful. It seems like the most accurate way to describe my experience.AASU is very disorganized...I've been fighting to get a class dropped, to find out which classes are approved, books, dining hall, and where the hell is my loan money???? but it's a beautiful campus, my classes seem like they're going to be a lot of fun (well as soon as i get the class dropped it will be), and my apartment/suitemate is amazing!
I got a job at Lane Bryant but now have to find another one because their general manager left and they can only give 10 hours a week at $7.00/hr. Not nearly enough time to pay the bills! So i've applied at Ruby Tuesdays at the mall where ashley (my roommate) knows one of the managers: upside--they're extremely busy downside--it's night work again...but i'll have saturday, tuesday, and thursdays off...i just really need ot make some money...not doing anything is driving me CRAZY!!!!
i went exploring today...nearly got into a wreck because the historic districts streetlights are so close together...then i ventured to the Isle of Hope and Wormsloe (apparently its where Oglethorpe and them landed when they first got here to GA) and to Skidaway Island (very exclusive...like a hybrid of buckhead/peachtree city...gated community with their own private school system...lots and lots of $$$$)...it was fun
trying out a new church tonight...according to everyone i've talked to its a very laid back liberal HUGE non-denomination church with lots of college age attendee's...ashley and i are going and then to ruby tuesdays to smooze with the manager...
i feel like i'm where i'm supposed to be finally...
