You have this crazy muddy palette and messy brushes and stained hands and paint is all over your clothes and your chair and your cell phone and on your forehead, a big mess everywhere, but out of the mess comes the art. Mess is necessary for the beauty to exist. This is my new philosophy.

So here is the plan for after graduation... figure out: how to do art and teach and speak french and learn german and italian and feed hungry people and do nothing and do everything and tour the world and stay at home and drink wine in France on the coast of Italy while playing darts in a bar in Nashville.

Ready set go.

...which brings me to another point... you know how they say "On your marks, get set, go" ? And how when you're little, you are in about 19 lil races a day? Like... race you to the kitchen, race you to the playground, race you to the car, race you to the dinner table.. whatever. So you say some version of "ready set go" a lot. I used to think the saying was "On your mart, get set, go." On your mart? What was I thinking? Also its funny how it gets reduced to "Mark-G'set-Go."

I have the rambles, but hey, better than the grumbles. Hey Jenni, remember the scrambles? Good times.
