"You really had to step in, didn't you?" Danny yelled, almost smacking into the EMTs with his wildly waving hands. "You just had to be the big Seal hero."
"Danny, they were about to fight," Steve said lightly, bending his head slightly so the paramedic could take a last look at the bump on his head.
"Over cupcakes and muffins! They were fighting over the difference between cupcakes and muffins!" Danny ranted, his face growing red. "Anyone who decides they need to have an actual screaming match, in a bar, over whether something is a cupcake or a muffin, deserves to get punched in the face! You did not have to step in and take that punch! Now my friend, you are concussed. Your gorgeous head has a giant lump on it, making it even more swelled than normal, all because of cupcakes and muffins and your hero-complex!"
"You think my head is gorgeous?" Steve asked with a wicked twinkle to his eye.
"And even concussed you fish for compliments!" Danny sighed, kissing the top of Steve's head. "Yes, your head is gorgeous. And next time Grace is over, we will make both cupcakes and muffins, so next time, rather than get punched, you can just tell them the difference."
