Playing and Applying:

Who can join?

Spies from any fandom, in any medium, as long as they can fit within the television show, “Covert Affairs” which is currently in its second season.

Applying:

Go here.
There will only be one of any character.

Posting Guidelines:

1. Please use the appropriate tags.

2. Prose style for community posts is preferred. But logs (AIM, GoogleDocs, etc.) are cool too as logs.

3. Negative relationships between characters does not equal negative relationships between players. Please don’t be a turd about this.

4. R/NC-17 rated posts: They must be locked, tagged and under a cut. Alternatively, you can put them in your character’s journal and link the comm to them. Please keep a lock on them though.

5. Events must fit into the Covert Affairs second season timeline. Side Stories are all good, but the basics need to be in Covert Affairs verse (like Arthur Campbell is the Director of Clandestine Service, the Domestic Protection Division Exists, etc. )

6. For example, in our "verse", Clayton Webb, from JAG, is the Deputy Director of Counter Intelligence. For the purposes of this game, until told otherwise, we’re stealing JAG’s D-CIA: Director Watts.

7. The CIA is a big place. So if you belong to Chuck’s fandom, those adventures can coincide with those of Covert Affairs. When applying, please state what department you expect your character to fit in.

Activity Checks/Hiatus:

Since we understand that everyone has lives and RP is not the first thing to do on anyone’s plate, we ask after claiming a character, to post some sign of life (either a post, or a comment to someone else’s post) at least once in the first two weeks of having a character.

After that, regular interaction, at least on a bi-weekly basis would be good, just so there’s no character squatting. You don’t have to make your own post, commenting to others is just fine.

Hiatus: We figure we’re all adults (or pretending to be), and we can be nice to other players and tell them there’s going to be some time where you’re away from the computer. If it’s going to be two or more weeks let a mod know via PM.

OOC Interactions:

Be Nice: In that same 'we're all adults' vein? No, you don't have to like everyone, but you do have to be nice to everyone. You don't have to share AIM names or first names or anything like that. Simple PM access is nice, though, and please be courteous enough to respond to OOC contacts in a timely manner. Any wank and someone’s getting the boot.
