Title: Better Than TV
Fandom: Young Justice the cartoon
Rating: general worksafe
Summary: I wrote this a bit ago for the yj_anon_meme for the prompt of Miss Martian/Aqualad/Superboy cuddling. Except since there's not really anything overtly sexual or romantic in it that probably makes it gen. But I ship them hardcore. So maybe it's pre-threesome?

( Superboy thinks that Miss Martian's TV show is boring, even though it keeps laughing at itself. She laughs, too, but never when the TV does. He doesn't understand why these people have an invisible crowd in their house that laughs at them or why they put up with it. If that happened to him he would find the invisible people and punch them. )

I adore this - Superboy's little undercurrent of non-understanding was fantastically bittersweet and I think you kept him IC really well. Plus, cuddles :D

So, words cannot express how much I loved this. Your Superboy is freakin' adorable and awkward, and I'm not sure how long "a bit ago" was, how long ago you wrote this, but I am so desperately impressed with how you made Superboy ring true with how little canon has given us to show how his mind works.

Sometimes he stares at things.

Oh God, I DIED at this. Because if somebody asked him how he spent his days, he would totally say that out loud and not understand why everyone looked at him funny and then he'd maybe get sort of angry and huffy and want to punch things. Also, his contempt over the laugh track was sheer brilliance. ♥

I wrote it right before when Artemis showed up, which is why she isn't in it. The funny thing about Superboy is that even with how little canon has given us, I still feel like I've seen 90% of his life... he's not like Kaldur or Artemis who have all this backstory that I don't know. I am so glad you enjoyed this!

I have been kinda avoiding Young Justice because I have way to many shows to watch as it is, but this totally makes me want to watch everything. A socially awkward superboy, yes please!

It's so full of aww! and I really really love the descriptions of texture and what he notices about their bodies -- Megan's little anatomy weirdnesses were especially interesting. I wasn't expecting them and they made a lot of sense to me.

Oh that as just that kind of cute that makes you melt into a puddle and just D'aww at the adorableness that is Supey...seriously? Could he be anymore cuter?
I love how he notices the diffrence in texture and bones and stuff between M'gann and Kal! and the constant reminders or Red tornado, Wally and Dick in the back ground just show how much he really is aware of and wunv his new family! ^0^
