Title: Flight of Fancy
Author: M. Fae Glasgow / Gael X. Ile
Pairing: Bodie/Doyle
Link to story: Flight of Fancy

Wonderful witty little first time story, including banter, jealousy, flirting, lions, love, sex and the Lads!
Lets start with a stroppy Doyle and a nervous Bodie.
Nervous Bodie? On a plane? Even Doyle get's suspicious...
“What is it now, Bodie? Christ, you’re not still nervous, are you? How a man who can jump out of a tiny little plane could be this nervous on a fucking jumbo jet before it’s even off the ground, I’ll never know.”

But Bodie's got a perfect explanation:
“And I am not nervous. But if I were, and I’m only saying if, mind, then it would make perfect sense. When I went up with any of my old lot, I had a parachute strapped to my back and I was supposed to end up back on the ground without the plane. Not to mention the fact that I wasn’t depending on some civvy moron to fly us.”

They discuss this topic further, wittness an argument, solve the problem and then Doyle is tortured but saved by Bodie:
Bodie decided that, the worst of his hysterics over, it was time to come to Doyle’s rescue.

Everything settles down nicely until Bodie starts to flirt outrageously with the flight attendend Skippy. Doyle is jealous.
One look at those green eyes and Skippy remembered why jealousy is called the green eyed monster.

Poor Skippy, deprived of his fun and well earned price he' s although threatened and has to cover for the Lads, because they are so very busy having fun. *g*

I like this story so much because of the dry, really dry, humour, the many small event scenes that are described with so much feeling and sarkasm.
And because I can see the Lads reacting and talking and acting just so.

The best part for me is Doyle being rescued by a still tickled Bodie.
Which part do you like best?
Can you see them getting together because of the things that happen here?
Maybe they are a bit hasty? Shouldn't they be more considerate?
Would you eavesdrop at the lavatory door?
