Your phrasing is so apt - it took me hours this morning to get it all together & properly posted without invalid markup errors and goodness only knows what littering the screen evry time I previewed it. It was such a relief finally to get it posted! I especially didn't want to mess up the links to Lorraine's site, because the illustration is so beautiful it deserves to be seen by as many as possible.

I sympathise with your technical problems (see my comment above!), and of course you are right -I was thrilled with the art.

Well here, this is how far behind I am on my reading. *g*

I finished reading your story this morning and just wanted to drop you a line. I really enjoyed the post-action pace of it, the quietness of it, if you will, as these two men worked it out. The pace did a great job of echoing and emphasising Doyle's withdrawal as he's usually so frenetic, even when supposedly at rest.
