Summary
What do you get when you take a legendary organisation which doesn’t exist, a civil servant and his family who have both morals and the backbone to do the right thing and combine with a man who wants revenge. Jeremy (Jem) Todd-Hunter-Brown was about to find out. When a strange man asked him to pass on birthday wishes to his father, it started a whole chain of events that Jeremy never expected or would have wanted if he were asked. And yet, afterwards, he had to admit he wouldn’t have missed this adventure for the world. It changed him. It also gave him a new appreciation of his parents and how they were, in their own way, unsung heroes.
