In the world of Valdemar created by Mercedes Lackey, Bodie is hold born, Doyle from the Dhorisha Plains. Cast from their homes they go in search of their destiny.

While on vacation (courtesy of a week’s suspension for losing his rag at Cowley) in a
small seaside town, Doyle finds himself strangely drawn to an old wreck of a vintage
motorcycle with a mysterious past.
Obsession? Possession? Bodie isn’t sure what exactly is going on, but Doyle has been
off his game, ever since he brought that motorcycle back to London. He’s been late for
work, even missed shifts outright… and away from work, has devoted himself to
restoring the bike to the exclusion of almost everything else, including the time they
usually spent together.
Doyle finally crosses a line that Bodie can’t ignore… and he calls him on it. Then the
motorcycle tries to kill Bodie…
When Doyle takes the bike and disappears, Bodie tracks them back to the same town
where it all started, only to discover a local legend involving a certain vintage motorcycle
is about to reach its deadly conclusion…(Bodie/Doyle, elements of the supernatural)

A freak accident on holiday leaves Doyle with a terrible dilemma: should he stay with Bodie and do what he can or leave him to get help?

Once again Bodie has left Doyle behind so that he can liaison with SAS on a mission that only Cowley seems to know anything about. Doyle is extremely disturbed by all the secrecy since Bodie had been treating him shabbily in the previous months.
Doyle becomes convinced that Bodie is tired of having Doyle as his partner after eight years and begins to think about asking for a new partner. Then, Doyle in an earth shattering moment discovers a secret about Bodie and his trust in his partner is totally destroyed. Although he tries to remain loyal to Bodie while he is away with SAS, his loyalty comes to the breaking point, and Doyle decides to go to Cowley and ask for a permanent reassignment.
The whole situation goes downhill from there.

In the Civil Service there were many legends and talks of ghosts who walked the corridors of power. Some ghosts were past prime ministers or civil servants who had made it their live work to keep Britain running. One particular myth was the often heard talk of a secret service organisation one of the CI’s which had existed in the early 1970s to mid 1980s. It was said to have been led by an man deemed uncorruptible. It had held government officials as well as terrorists to account all to keep Britain smelling ever so faintly of roses and lavender as the saying went. Then it vanished - like King Arthur - and with it all the records of its existence. The gossip mill always claimed that it as this organisation that was behind the sudden resignation of ministers or highly placed civil servants; they said this CI organisation was still working in the background and then they would all laugh.

Bodie and Doyle are on a sabbatical out of London when Cowley arrives to convince them to
help with a major problem regarding terrorists and bombs, which coincidentally is in the exact
town where they are spending their down time. This is a wild &and crazy film fic with off-the-wall
people and canon characters cast in various roles, along with a cute little dog, and a couple of
nosey coppers intent on discovering exactly what the lads are up to. Established relationship
with lads of an age heading to forty. Slash and humour (hopefully)!

While on assignment to monitor security at the National Gallery ahead of a Royal visit,
Bodie attempts suicide. Why? He and Doyle work to uncover dark secrets buried in
CI5’s past.
