2010 Writer Sign-Up Post
Challenge Rules for Writers
1. Stories must have a minimum length of 12,500 words. There is no maximum length.
2. Stories may be slash, or gen.(And if you want to write het, you may)
3. The central story element should focus on characters from The Professionals. Any slash pairing is allowed.
4. After your story is posted at
ci5_boxoftricks, you are free to post it elsewhere. We’ll create a master list of links and summaries at the community, and we are also planning on providing single file links to the stories.
5. Stories will be posted at an assigned posting date.
6. AU's and Crossovers are allowed and welcomed!
7. If you feel you have the energy and willpower to write a story *and* create artwork for someone else’s story, then please feel free to sign up as both an artist and as a writer.
8. WIPs are welcomed too, as long as the parts have not been posted up anywhere.
9. Collaborations between writers are also allowed. Just please let us know when you sign up if you are planning on writing with a partner.
Important Dates
Please sign-up to participate by February 28.
Your rough draft and story summary should be turned in by June 28. A lot of us scribble right down to the wire, and we fully realise this. But it is important that something be handed in at this date for our artists to see. Big Bangs are collaborative and our artists also need time to work and get ideas together.
On July 5, your draft/summary will be posted (anonymously) for a participating artist to claim as a prompt. The artist will create at the very least one piece of art (title banner, illustration, manip, etc.) to accompany your story. Alternately, a vidder may do a trailer for your story.
Your final draft should be completed by August 20.
Our posting schedule will begin in September.
